HI ALL,AM THINKING OF GOING TO 35s FROM 33s have been told plays havoc with the gearing and drivability,ps going on a 94 rx 4.2d lwb 4" lift(new tyres will be maxxis mudzillas 35x13.5x15),thanks

Yes it will change your gearing..

FWIW, dyno figures showed my 285 MTR's zapped over 10kw compared to Desert Duellers in 31's.

Next time i'm at Deisel-Tec i'll be running a set of 31/32/35" tyres to see what does what.

Fatso, yes, you will probably find 5th gear out of reach unless your going down hill. Aside from that, you'll have a crapload more noise (mudzillas are hellanoisy), average on-road handling (bitumen isn't the mudzillas forte), more tyre/sidewall roll, decreased turning circle, braking will be a bit worse off too.

Provided you dont try and drive it like a race car, and dont push your car too hard on road, you'll be fine.

Pickin mine up tomorrow arvo.. Andy was strugglin to figure out the figures, so changed tires and :shock:
Would be interested to see what his 35 claws off his shorty rip out of it.

Shame mine didnt get to 140kw @9psi :rofl: :( :rofl:

thanks for the advice guys, will be sticking to the mtrs i think (33s) they are capable enough for me!
