Post by crackatinny »

well ive just bourght my 2nd sierra, a 86 soft top (fast back) with the intent to race it... got home alrite, but after shtifing into 4low i cant seen to get it out of neutral. the front and rear shafts are locked together, but i get no drive. and the shifter dosant want to move anywhere.

it wasnt the frist time i had put it in low range either. i seem to recall there was some common problem with these? anyone had a simiilar issue?

Yes very true was out wheeling one day and got stuck in neutral had all ready read about the problem on here, so started pulling the boot and what not out and other drivers are still suggestion that maybe I have wrecked my gears or something ... And after that it kept happening so I ordered new bushes and it has since not happened.
..wrench, wheel, wreck repeat..
