Gday,
I'm looking to buy a canopy for my standard 03 (old shape) Hilux. The Luxs have the rear bar system behind the back window that is welded into the rear tray.
If i fit a canopy do i have to cut this bar system off to make the canopy sit flush with the cabin or do the canopies somehow fit over the top of the bar work??
The canopy i'm looking at is off an 02 SR5 Hilux so the tray is the same dimensions, its just the bar work that worries me.
Any ideas would be much appreciated, cheers.

When I had the canopy on my Rodeo I had to remove the bar but it is bolted on Rodeos so no drama to remove it.
I found though that the Flexiglass range had an option to keep the bar as the front wall of the canopy is riveted in so you could have it positioned to suit.
My canopy was an ARB plastic canopy though so you have to remove the bar to fit these ones.
I'd say you will have to remove yours too as I didn't think SR5 Hiluxs had the bar to begin with.
