what can ya do to upgrade mk/q brakes could you use gq stuff etc
im talkin bout front only as i know you could do disc conversion rear what about booster and master cylinder etc

What's wrong with yours? I ran 35's on my MQ and it didn't brake like an Excel, but you could get the fronts squirming so the rubber was the limiting factor.

Probably easiest thing to do would be to check the pads and replace if necessary, then upgrade the brake lines to braided if need be. Much easier conversion than cylinders.

The disc are probably as old as the car........


REPLACE THEM :armsup:


pad design has improved also.........


so get some decent pads fitted up , not the general off the shelf run of the mill pads the local auto shop wants to sell you



If those 2 things dont help..... upgrade tha calipers to some smick 4 pot calipers, 300ZX / skyline etc :cool:

i have noticed heath that my pedal will go to the floor if i put light preassure on and also wen i first start the car there is bugger all brakes at first for say a min of driving
i still have the rear drums how do you adjust them if there adjustable as maybe they need adjusting not sure

try bleeding them... prob got air in ya lines. also check ya vacuum hoses are actualy on ya booster
