08 hilux problems

Post by big dave »

HY just wondering if some one may have some idea as to why after fitting 5 yes 5 set off 2" lifted spring to the rear off my sr5 dual cab my diff dont sit central in the wheel arch and the driveshaft slip joint is extended way further than it should be.

Ihave messured My mates 08 hilux with the same lift and mine is about 30 ml longer in lenght center to center both cars are the same and were built at the same time.

Any body got any ideas

Mines an SR, but with the reset leaves and inch block, the rear sits at about 2.5"........

no tailshaft problems at all.

Dave,

no offence mate, but did you or a store fit the springs? what brand?

are they the right way around?

I cant understand how it would be that bad after so many spring replacements.

did you replace with the same brand spring each time?

pictures here would help, both of wheel location within the guard, pics of the springs and maybe even tailshaft/diff position.....
