What engine bud?

if its a sierra or vit its probably the temp sensor but your question is so vague it really could be anything.

pretty sure its your coolant temp sensor. i had to order one from suzuki.. genuine part only and it was 65 bucks.

its a coolant temp sensor

save your $65 and go down to autobarn. an aftermarket gauge comes with a sender that will screw into the same hole, cost you $30 and be way more accurate.

I bought one of the plasma gauges by speco from autobarn to replace mine, mainly as it was one of the few gauges they had in stock that displayed temp in celcius as opposed to farenheit. Easy to fit. About $45 for the gauge and nearly the same for one of those cup shaped mounts to put it in! Works a treat but a little hard to see in full sunlight. I'd suggest a gauge with a needle as opposed to the little led type lights in mine.
