Ok I would like straight answers, no try and search rubbish please (yes ive tried). Ive been chatting to an engineer up here in FNQ. Now what i would like to know is - what was the biggest tyre size that came out factory on any suzuki sierra diffs, LWBs utes maruriti etc.

"Old" tyre dimensions are in inches, e.g. 6.00 x 16. The tyre carcass width and height are both 6", so there is no need to specifiy an aspect ratio (it is 1.0), and the overall tyre diameter is 2 x 6 + 16 = 28", in this case.

They're actually a 29" tyre. Go to a tyre shop and ask to look in the tyre and rim manual for the nominal OD. You'll find two sizes listed, a highway size and a traction (mud tyre) size which will be bigger, that's the measurement you need.[quote="4WD Stuff"]

F78-15 or FR7815. They equal the same size as a 205/70R15.
This is the old alpha numeric tyre sizing system. Very outdated and hardly used anymore.
The F is the tyre load capacity
The R or B or no letter of it indicates a radial tyre or not
The 78 is the aspect ratio
the 15 is the rim size
The letter wasn't constant either. as it was based on carrying capacity and not width so it is a very confusing system
