hi man

hi man,
easy conversion, however you will need a turbo 700 to landcruiser transfercase adapter. these are about 1200 from marks adapters

once you install this, you can always turf the 3.8 and install a chev or a turbo pattern 308 by changing the gearbox and imput shaft over to the v8 700 box.

if you want to put the 3.8 into the jackaroo and you have an auto then the the comodore 3.8 will bolt straight up to the auto bellhousing but you will need to modify the jack torque converter (or just the feet so it will bolt up to the v6 flex plate) and then do the engine mounts and wiring and your all set to go but remember this only works on the automatic transmission as it is a slightly different pattern to the manual bellhousing i hope this helps others out there

this also works with any vehicle with an asian warner auto g/box as the 94 jackeroo/rodeo auto bellhousing will bolt to this g/box and these g/boxes are found in a variety of cars including toyota's so if you have a car with an asian warner auto then all you need is a bellhousing from a 94 jackaroo/rodeo and a slightly modified converter and your in buisiness without having to spend $$$$$$ for a marks addaptor

because a complete vn commodore with engine, box, ecu. pump, wiring is 300$.
adapter is 1200.

its a very cheap conversion! and whatever breaks, most it will cost is 300$ :)

A guy on 4wd action forum recently bought a 40 with a commo v6 in it. Heres a pic from one of his threads.

Might be worth sending him a PM for more info/pics

Personally I think a efi ford 6 would be a much better swap.
