Anyone still run them?

do they help?

I 've been offered a pair of cvs with them installed and working out if worth it and how much clearancing inside the knuckle is needed.

I run them and have had no issues with cvs and front locker.
my zook was on 32 mongrels but ive just changed to 34 swampers so heres hopeing.
if you own a die grinder they take around 5 minutes per side to clearance, your only removing a little bit more than some casting marks maybe 1.5 mm in the corners.
its a good chance to rebuild your hubs and repack you wheel bearings.
they would have to be a hell of a lot stronger than no rings,maybe not 26 spline cromoly strong but a lot better.
85 high roof 1.3, 6.5 tc, air lockers,ruf and 34 swampers. yep its an ugly pos.

so 100 for a pair installed is worth it then. hrm

i have another axle to replace my broken one going in now but be good to buy now as cheap and good for next upgrade when i blow them again eheh

I ran them once. Broke short side on my first outing. :cry:
Was second hand though so it may have been worn.

Anyone got any installation pics? mainly of the grinding needed or what is the easist way to work out where they are needed to clearance.

i am grabbing a pair for $50 inc cvs/axles with minimal use.

No mate not yet :oops: They have been sitting on my bench for a while now. I'll fit them soon :roll: (been saying that for a while now :roll: )
