Private property Bucketty. (pics added)

Post by bad mudda »

A mate of mine Tim has 27acre's at bucketty "about an hour north from Hornsby" Tim is happy to make hardcore tracks anywhere on the property  .

What we are thinking is inviting interested clubs to come up and build track's wherever they want, anyone who assist's would have free access to the property "within reason" .

The property is thick bushland from the top off one mountain down to a creek then halfway up the otherside, i have walked a lot of it and there is heaps of pottential. Also has a big clearing at the top where trailers and cars could park.

http://maps.google.com.au/maps?hl=en&ie ... 17509&z=15

Little bit of work byo chainsaw.

I know it would be a lot of hard work but i'm guessing there could be a fair few clubs with buggies who would be interested. After a while when different clubs make tracks and name them holding a comp out there would be considered, if the logistics can be overcome.

If you could let any body in a club know about it so we can see who's interested.

I would like to get a couple of club reps to come up and do a walk through and discuss what would be the best way to go about it all.

Then get 1 club at a time or all at once to come up and start clearing were their track is going.

Otherwise we could do all the work ourselfs and claim it as ours, but i think the tracks would'nt be so good. ;)

What do you mungrels reckon ?

This is the result we were hoping for. I will get in contact with you all 1 by 1 and we can see what we can do.
At the moment i have a group of us heading up in 2 weeks but we may still need some more people there.

The reason for doing this is there is few/no places to wheel buggies and other big comp rigs, and we can make our own tracks to suit us.
I would be suprised if we could organise any comp's out there in the future legally, but we could still get a couple of good "gatherings".

Unfortunetly for some i dont think we should be letting everybody on the property, i think clubs are less likely to cause us any problems like insurance, theives and other thing's we hav'nt thought about, but if your not in a club and still need somwhere to wheel your rig maybe we could do something.

As you's can imagine it looks a sh!t load better when your out there, there are endless lines everywere, it's a matter of how big do you want to go there is everything from 2ft upto 10ft+ rock steps.

Any clubs interested are welcome to come out and have a look anytime, contact by P,M at the moment and i'll get back to you's as soon as i can.

2wd access not a problem, and you can park your car and trailer in the camping area at the top of the track's. It is looking like it will be mainly buggys that will be driving out there. So get your mates together and get out there you's will love it.

Interested ????? P,M me and let me know when you's want to go out there simple as that. If anyone else want's to check it out first just P,M me and let me know and i'll organise a time to meet you there.

 Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

Just kidding, seems buggy vs bodied is the great debate at the moment, personaly i have no problem, i think the top of the feild in the comps are always going to get flamed just like when hydro suspension and rear steer first came out, but to me the guys building these ultimate 4wd's be it buggy or full bodied are pioneering the sport in oz and always have.
My only beef would be that the rig's are progressing and the track's are not so much.

I did'nt want to clog up the toperi thread but still felt like saying as long as it has 4wd and your driving it to it's limit that's all that matter's.
