Digsy, the spot lights only when because I made the challenge easier for them. Still no one "drove the Soup Bowl".

Guy's, I am still cleaning & packing up from the weekend, so I will post the placings this week.

Well done to Kent, winner of the Mod class, Shanahan, winner of the Stock class, & Team Tint-a-car, winners of the team challenge.

I have bucket loads of footage & pics to go through for our DVD. I will post up when it will be available.

I would also like some feed back on the event, tracks etc, good or bad, as this will help make the next comp that much better.

Going to be an Out law class next year? If so I will have a go at driving it without hardly hitting the water, just take the side angle of the bank. Im sure stuart would have a go at it in his rig too. And it wouldn't even be a jeep thing
Its a wheelbase thing

The thing that got me the most about this event is how the competitors supported other competitors with parts and advice. A lad I was with did a clutch first run, which a bloke from Mackay, was kind enough to drive an hour to his house, pick up an old secondhand one and brought it back and gave it to us. Then a spectator drove an hour the other way and brought us in a gearbox jack. We changed it out in a few hours on the floor of the land holders shed. Random spectators came up and gave us a hand too. It got us home. Big thanks too all of these people, you no who you are.

A great weekend, the rain just made it more challenging. I hope we can organize a few more comps up our way in Towns ville and Cairns.

Nice commentating to by the way bear

Hey Zook, good to see you made it home. Hope the rigs holds up for next year.
MORE COMPS, yes, we need more comps. I know that most of the Mackay lads would go to Townsville & Cairns. If I can help at all to get these events happening, let me know.

How did old mate that roled get on? I hope this event hasn't put him off competeting again.

That's to all for your feed back, keep it coming.

Yeh, I think the whole thing when very well, for a first time.

We raised $3,600 for SES for the weekend with entries and raffles. Very happy with the response all round. We will look at doing it again next year, with a couple of changes.
