Whats needed to fit 35's on a surf??
G'Day all spanner monkeys
Heres the thing... i have 35's at home ready for use. until i put the gq diffs in, i wanna give em a slosh around. It currently has a 2inch body lift. and i've wound the torsion bars up about 40mm. Is this enough or do i need to chop guards aswell (doesn't bother me)
Cheers

Wanted.... 4.88 or 4.56 front GQ diff center. Also wanted... GQ rear diff complete.
bolt em on and flex it and see what needs doing, you can run them but run uber bumpstops to stop the carnage, redrilling diff perchs will help with a shaft spacer, cheap to do and better approach angle.

Haven't made them for quite a while now, but if you have 1/2 and idea you will see that they are not rocket science to make
Think you will need to chop the guards a bit to get them to fit, and if your doing that may as well leave it without the spacers. Your limiting factor will be the body mount just behind the back of the front guard, could try adjusting the steering stops out to stop scrubbing.

dont need to chop guards , i run 35's on my surf
2" body lift and 3" supension , rubs a bit on the front , need to bash in sills.
dosent come near the guards , maby just trim the front bumper. also 1" ball joint spaces and diff drop spaces will make it rub even less

How did you jack it up 3 inches? Wouldn't the top arms pretty much be resting on the rubber stops, limiting your negative travel?
