80 series front into hilux

Post by Bagdad mafia »

Hi all
Will a hilux diff centre fit in to an 80 series front housing ?

want to put coils in the front of my hilux using an 80 series front housing but want to keep my front locker and low pinion for clearance issues with my sump

Thanks
Gav.

I thought they were different, right down to one being hi pinion and the other low pinion :?:

well a 80 high pinion goes into a lux housing.. so u would have to say that it would work the other way around!

it will bolt up but it wont work because the tierod will hit the diff centre.

Put the locker in the hi pinion centre from the 80 housing. Same locker.

Can you mod the sump and pick up, shouldn't be too hard if you are doing a coil conversion.

Cheers

thats one option

Was hoping to get the tie rod arms re-tapered to sit above the low pinion
