1L and 1.3L Tcases, whats the difference?

Post by 31zook »

Hey just wondering what is the differecnce between a 1L and a 1.3L TC. I've got a 1.3 and i want to sell the car but keep alot of parts off it, so a new TC is in order. i went to the local pick-payless but all he had was old sierras... will it bolt in is there a different ratio in them, would a 1L hand brake bolt onto the back of a 1.3 TC???

Thanks
Josh

1ltr case with wires coming out of it will bolt up to a 1.3 you just need
to swap the flanges over and it will give a 12% reduction in both high and low range.

I never relised that you needed different flanges. It looks like im buying a 1L case. Does anyone have flanges for 1.3 driveline.

just a question, why are you wanting a 1l case, your sig says you have 6.5:1's
85 LWB w. FRP Canopy
Ca18det conversion in progress, Vit PS, RUF,
6.5:1's, 33x12.5 Bfg's, custom front and rear bars.

Um i want to get a lwb but keep alot of parts off my zook now. So i need to keep my TC with gearing. It should save me monies :D My zook will go back to bog standard except for a 50mm BL.

If your truck is engineered for 31, 50mm spring and a BL. Can you go back to standard tyres, springs but keeping the BL without re-engineering?
