I just took apart my steering hub knuckle to replace leakin inner seal, and i found every one of my sealing surfaces is eroded enough that theres no way a seal would do its job.

IE both the inner axle seal and the hub seal surfaces. Can you get speedy sleeves for these? CV is shot also, bloody Suzuki's cost so much to replace anything.

Ive never found CV's to break in my zook for some reason. I give em hell but have never broken one, so dont really need to upgrade.
Seriously thinkin of goin Hilux axles tho, could get front and rear for the same cost of buyin the bloody bits i need new.
The sealing surfaces are the pain in the ass, ill just use my old cv till it breaks, but having to replace whole components just cos one little surface is damaged grr...

i have been using the ebay $50 CV's in mine for a while with front locker with no dramas ! the only issue i had was them being a bit too big to fit through the hole so i had to grind a bit away.

speedi sleeves are made down to 12mm. so that will cover the size of a sierra drive shaft easily.

ifs its just pitting and you want a cheaper way out i've heard of guys through work that will get some magic metal, smear it across the pitted area and work it down till it can be cleaned up with a small amount of sanding. (this way is a little dodgey i know. i'm not reconmending it but its something that gets done. just make sure you clean ALL oil from the pitting so the putty takes to the metal)

or if its just a worn groove and easy way is to tighten your seal up. you can remove the spring from behind the sealing lip, and cut down the spring and rejoin them or just replace the spring all together with a slighty smaller o ring. (this method is used in alot of race boats)

Exactly what i did, so far so good, but i have bigger concerns now lol
