Doing a budget build up and I'm at the stage where I need some diffs.
I can't afford mogs but I want strength.I'm going to be running a nice amount of HP [nothing crazy] and 44'' plus tyres.I'm sort of leaning towards GU or Dana at the moment. Any info would be muchly appreciated.

My advice would be to work out a budget and work out the best package for the $$. No point having 44's and gu's if you're going to brake them or have to sunday drive them - same said for hp too.
Big tyres don't offer any benefit besides looks - unless the whole drive train is up to the task.
You can break GU's with 37's no worries - I carried a spare RHS and LHS cv and axles (Brand new OEM ones at silly cost) on the truck - because its always in the back of your mind that they will break. That was with only 400 HP too.
To give you an Idea the buggy I'm building ATM I was advised to use a spool and 40 spline axles for the near 500hp I hope to make.
A 7200 housing would feature the following:
3.5” Race housing with full truss (upper/lower/back)
Currie 9” 3rd member with spool
CNC 6 piston calipers
Coleman vented rotors or Tubeworks blade rotors
2.5” Race hub
40 300M Spline TCS wasted body axles
About $8300.00
I am looking at this now as insurance against being stuck with broken gear, miles from home, wasted entry fees, and DNF.
Better buying D60's and shagged 35's and upgrade the tyres later.
