lifted gq

Post by pom300 »

since ive lifted my gq again with fresh 6''coils
it sounds like or feels like a vibration in the rear ?
i had to put 1'' coil spacers in it to bring it up level with the front
it didnt do the vibration before the spacers were in so im wandering if i should space the gearbox down a bit because i might of gone to far past the point of niceness of the uni's or something these bloody gqs are sensitive things.

mate my lwb gq is lifted 4" and it vibrated like hell,i've just put 16mm longer bottom control arms in(300 from hobzees in vic, much stronger than originals to) and its much better but its still there, next move is adjustable upper control arms (will be fitting them 5mm shorter than standard so as to rotate the diff and correct the pinion angle) hope thiss helps mate :)

As fatso said, you have bad pinion angles. Even with new uni's, you'll get this vibration until you rotate the diff forward to match the tailshaft/gearbox output angle.
