Yep, that's exactly it....
You need a multimeter, an accurate thermometer, a sauce and some water...
Pop the saucepan on the stove, put about 5 cm of water in the saucepan, Connect one lead from the multimeter to the terminal on the CTS and the other either to the second terminal (if it has two) or the body of the sensor.

pop the thermometer in the water check the water temp against the resistance, turn the stove on and check the sensor throughout the temperature range given on the chart.

P.S. It's not very often that a sensor is faulty.

Good luck

Make sure you suspend the sensor in the water, if it touches the actual container you will get surface transmisson and it will not be acurate. Just like testing a thermostat.

i did it in the engine today and it was all very close to the correct numbers, as i have a accurate temp gauge in the car. but i found out that the fuel pressure regulator is leaking a fair bit through the vacuum hose so thats the problem.

so does anyone no where i can get a new one from. cause my sierra is runnin really rich atm.

If youre just after vaccuum hose, just take in a sample to Repco, Bursons, etc... they have it.

Not sure if a place like Repco would have them then, best bet is genuine, or do a search online. Failing that, a wreckers.
