mabye next time ues a snatch strap and not a winch extension strap and rated recovery points but they did a good job smashed 2 windows lol :armsup: :armsup:

i learnt the hard way also and wasnt pullin hard either. I tried to pull a small tree out of the ground at home using the front loop and well you can see the result. :shock: :shock: :shock:

it actually hit the roll bar we installed a week ago just behind the drivers head, thats why it shot out the side window.

It's not me in the video they're mates of mine, but your right they are very lucky, and they wondered why I was standing so far away when we were doing recoveries the day before.
And yes proper rated recovery points are now VERY high on his to do list lol

Oh well, he needed a new back door anyway (I was the one who put the hole in it the day before that the camera guys points out lol) and we were talking about replacing the side windows with sheet metal to look like a panel van

bad luck about the window, but if you have a soft top wouldn't the flapyness absorb the impact so it might just leave a mark/scratch???

I see that the metal is torn, but not catastrophic failure. The strap still would have been attached to your vehicle.

This has been discussed 100 times before.
Some say yay .. some say nay.
I have used that little loop in the past, and will use it again in the future.

They were using a winch extension strap or the like in that video. and shock loading it, little wonder stuff broke.
