If its got the narrow plastic flairs its probably a NT. Another way to tell is to check the spring spacing. A NT will have the spring hangers mounted under the chassis rails, whereas a WT has the spring hangers mounted outboard.
98 WT LWB Maruti, 1.6efi, rockhoppers, 2" body lift, 2" springs, 32" BFG muddies, jimny Power Steer, front lockrite :-)
by the way i got this 4by 2 years ago stock 1lt 110000ks
2" lift and 215/75x15 tyres and nice cumfy seats
i drove it from albury nsw to punsand bay cape york qld i made it from cairns to punsand bay in 13 hours thats 1000ks 700 of them dirt i worked there for a year and a half bush bashing on my days off then drove back down via tele track this time i did this previously in my swb patrol while it was a lot more cumfy the maruti kicked its arse in the fun department then i kept going all the way back down to the gold coast
the little bastard has nver missed a beat and is still running perfectly apart from being very slow and not very cumfy on the highway its still got to be the best value for money 4wd i have owned

Pretty sure WT denotes 'wide track'. My 95 Maruti was an MG410WT and was most certainly a WT model. Yours may have been a cross over model between nt and wt.
I have an 87 tin top ute now, with 1 litre engine etc, but the tunnel on the cab is 1.3 width, with the 1 litre clip, 1.3l dash, 1.3l brakes, 1 litre fuel tank and NO flares. Its a real bastard child, and all factory original, as I bought it from the original owner.
Suzuki did this many times, and I can only assume it was to use up the old parts. Maruti would be the same I guess....

I kinda own (It's mine but it's not at my place) an 85 1.0 that's the same as you describe gutless.Gutless wrote:Pretty sure WT denotes 'wide track'. My 95 Maruti was an MG410WT and was most certainly a WT model. Yours may have been a cross over model between nt and wt.

Obviously we need someone with a NT MG410 to confirm what their designation reads.

it was due to what specs the many local importers wanted (such as ATECO) and nothing to do with suzuki using up 'old' parts.Gutless wrote:Pretty sure WT denotes 'wide track'. My 95 Maruti was an MG410WT and was most certainly a WT model. Yours may have been a cross over model between nt and wt.

how do you explain mine
i bought it off an old fella who bought it new he had done nothing to it exept new 2" leaf springs, shocks and the best looking s/s bullbar ive seen
the spring hangers are under the chassis rails
it has narrow flairs
it sounds wierd that some one ordered a wt body on a nt chassis
they (maruti) must of been using what ever parts they had
unless wt means wellside or white in maruti language
maybe wery tough
