Body Lift

Post by nick.gooding »

Hey guys my brothers looking at buying a 2inch body lift for his 1991 Hilux
single cab style side.
was wondering if theres much you need to change before you put it in and after you put it in.
i herd with some cars you need to change the transfer tunnel to suit?
and wondering if it effects your brake lines at all?
thanks guys

Hey mate,
The brake lines will be fine and transfer tunnel wont matter, The only thing that you will really have to do is extend the steering shaft and make sure you undo it before you lift the body.

Might also want to check the fan doesnt foul on radiator. also you may need to do some snipping around the tub near the gear sticks. and all bar work attached to chassis will look wierd and need raising 2 inches.
also as you lift it you may want to get someone to gently adjust the metal brake lines as it lifts.

otherwise its pretty straight forward
