MOD PLATE FOR CARGO BARRIER?

Surely they wont give people like ARB the power to ok an installation of a cargo barrier? youd be safer installing yourself!

They will have to be engineered after the new laws come in.

In other states i'd say that for legal reasons, a receipt from a qualified fitter/mechanic would suffice.

In other states i'd say that for legal reasons, a receipt from a qualified fitter/mechanic would suffice.
Thought that was the case, I fitted mine myself but it's thereto keep the dogs in the back more than anything.

Did you use existing mounting holes, or did you have to put some in (rivnut etc.)?
Most of the newer cars i've been in have already had the mounts there for cargo barriers, so its just a case of bolting one in. I think the authorities might get a bit toey with people putting their own mounts etc. in though. I've seen some dodgy-ass barrier installs too (ie. using small gauge sheetmetal screws rather than 8-10mm bolts).
