i rang them the other day and the guy there said that they only want to sell them to the guys with comp truck as they are to noisy to drive on the road.
I just bought a set of trail tough gears from the states, rock monsters, they cost me $1040 landed on my doorstep. all bearings and gaskets included.

I have heard this too. (Too noisy to use on the road) I guess they just screwed the design up.
If they were very, very cheap I'd give them a run, but considering the price of known good gears from the US, why bother?
PS my 6.5 trail tough gears make no identifiable gear noise.

My TG 6.5s have a bit of a gear noise as such, and have done ever since I had a gearbox shop set the case up with new bearings etc throughout.
I've since had a standard case back in the same car (sold it) and noticed the standard case to be quieter.
What I always assumed was just the whine of the extra reduction, may mean that the gears weren't shimmed correctly on install create a bit more whine? I'd be confident in the health of the bearings as they've always had good oil, and it's always looked fresh. Not loud to the point of being concerning, but loud enough to notice.
No noise at the moment though, the case is sitting in the garage without a car to go in

I heard they are really noisy.
I've had some noisy transfers and you'll want to slit your wrists after a normal day drive. Really, you will.
They'd need to be super cheap... like free... or something. Bear in mind too, if they're noisy in high range they'll be just as noisy in low range- and you'll notice more because there's no road/wind noise.
Just my 2c. I didn't even think they were than cheap.
