hey guys just got a quick question regarding the gq to gu hub nut conversion..
I got a kit off Hobzee and it came with the locking nut, locking washer and some screws. But it also came with a 3-4mm thick plate with a locating tab on it. Can anyone tell me what this is for?
I am also assuming that you do up the locking nut first, then after it has been torqued correctly you slide on the locking washer and screw it down to the nut to secure it?

ahhh.. thought it looked familiar! thanks dude.nastytroll wrote:the thick washer should be the bearing backing washer, stops the bearing cone turning against the locking nut. You should already have that washer inside your assembly.
so the thick washer would sit against the bearing, then the locking nut goes on, then the locking washer.. correct? sorry guys, pulled the car apart about 4 weeks ago, so just got a little lost
