Im probably wrong.
I run 35's with only 3" lift.....

Pretty happy about it too
in what?
i cant see how that works (properly)
On a TJ Wrangler.
3"-4" up travel (F&R)
9" -10" down (F&R)

Bit of angle grinder work and decent bumpstops. pretty easy.

Can fit 37's with a bit more cutting.

I was running 5.5" coils with a 1.25" BL. And 35's

I miss the up travel a bit, and the extra clearance.
But the stability and extra down travel is worth it.

I was at the first challenge, and sucked! first run after a 12 month rebuild and was to scared to give it some. And one of the diffs shit it self.

I will be there for next years events!!

Just have to decide what class.
33's one locker modified or
35's two lockers extreme modified or
35's no lockers.....

easy

This is becomming an entertaining read. See you all at the comp. We have 2 never before driven tracks to have fun on.
Brenden

We have a number of spectators interested so you'll have all the cheering you need to drive that little bit harder.

I'm digging a big hole to lay the cruiser to rest if we lose brakes again.

I bought another one tonight too, so I have plenty of spare parts to resurrect her if need be lol. This one has some trick gear on her as well but most importantly it has a working gearbox that doesnt sounds like a pack of Koalas fighting underneath my feet at 100km/h.........
If its not upside down and on fire, I'm not trying hard enough.......

The answer with a drum roll is slightly modified with 33's and no lockers. Your diff's are the issue in this class. The lift isn't going to help much but hey it's fun. Also a note, we have noticed that some of the winners are not what the 4wd community would class as the best cars in the past 2 comps. Remember a ford beat a nissan, toyota and jeep and was the lowest of all the cars.

Brendan, what are you referring to with 33's and no lockers?

Sadly my wife works Saturdays so unless you see us on a Sun run, I get them all to myself

Hi guys, just a quick question, how may 4wd do u need in the team to compete at this event? do they all need to be in the same class? i was reading the entry form and it says its a team event, so im just trying to work it out. i have an 80 i want to run in the slightly modified section and my bro in law will be running in extreme, might also have a mate who can run in stock so just wondering how we go with it......

That would be me in the little red devil. :D

I will be running 38's, twin locked, 5" lift. so i'm guessing that will put me in outlaw class. Does that mean i MUST have a cage and window nets or can i just opt out of the bonus lines that require them? If i opt out of the bonus lines that that mean i won't end up being competitive?

If we compete as a team with three vehicles in three different categories does that mean we just get score individually against the categories we are competing in and the aggregate score is tallied at the end to give a placing for the team?

Also, i have a semi professional photography/videography team lined up for the day to make a video of our team/the event. How will we go getting them access for decent positions to get good shots of the event. We are willing to produce a video of the event if that is what people want.

I hope you have modified your front bar Milo so you dont hit your winch or you will be wasting your time. Some of the rocks in the creek runs are much bigger than Ormeau that caused you problem with your winch.
