seeing as though they are still making the lwb's in india with G13BB mpfi motors that have 80bhp, i wonder if it would be possible to import a loom, engine mounts, ect.. to suit ? even through a suzuki dealer.

What did it cost ya mate? And where did you get it from?

I'm driving a 96 model with a 1.3L GTI motor in it. Starting to get sick of having no locker and have been told that the diff centers are hard to come by (4.11 ratio in 1.3L housing) so therefore I dont really want to weld up the rear.

EDIT: Also are the Maruti CV's the same as a WT Sierra?

my rear is welded, but my front is just a normal sierra lokka
The axles are the same as normal sierra, not sure on the cv's
mine had a 4 pinion front and rear.
Best price for the seems to be from these guys.

Hi FMX,
1.3 CV's will fit. they are bigger and stronger as we said earlier in this tread. But I don't know if the axle splines are the same.

Had a "creative driving moment" yesterday resulting in a busted pinion gear in my maruti rear diff.

Can these be sourced from anywhere? I know the odd ratio makes them rare as rocking horse S$%^.

Alternatively, would something aftermarket fit? (Front and rear)

great thread , spent 3 years in India, owned a stock maruti , needed it just to get into town and back, its what got me hooked on zuks in the first place

Any info available on the elusive, Suzuki PTO equipped transfer case I have heard that these came out on the Maruti in India. Only ever seen a single picture. i want to ask friends to look for one for me but not sure what model etc they came out on.

And Just so that you know , most people speak and understand english in India. Ring them up , they can be surprising helpful , especially if you talk about Cricket .

This would be a good forum to ask questions on as well

the wide track ones come out with 1.3 wide track diffs but 1 liter ratio n a maruti 4 speed only fits a 1 liter but u can put the internals out of a 5 speed in the 1 liter cases to make a 1 liter 5 speed n a marutis come out with 1 liter bonnets n grills n the chassis number is down near the right hand rear spring mount n they r made out of shittyer metals

I did the same and couldnt source one. Ended up swapping them out with NT 3.9 ratios front and rear as I could pick them up pretty cheap and they are easy to find if I bust another ;)

EDIT: if my memory serves me correctly, 'mrRocky' off here was selling some WT maruti diffs a while back

I haven't been able to find a genuine maruti centre, however WT maruti's and automatic Jimny's run the same 4.09:1 ratio and 1.3 diff size, so for simplicity I'll be using a Jimny centre as a replacement.

it will fit but the brackets are different and so is the way they mount to the chassie, i used a 1.3 alloy ebay one and redrilled the
sideplate on the radiator to make it an easier fit, also the 1ltr brackets may need bending frontward, i spaced out the bracket to chassie bolt with a 10mm nut to move it forward. so in short i guess it does fit easily but be prapared to fiddle around a bit.

ALL jimnys run the same centre.

and the jimny ones are weaker.
