My old GU used to do the same. Just brings revs up 100-200 when shutting it down. And spend the money for the solenoid on something else!!!

Have you had the boost and tune done? it seems more common if you have had the pump tweaked.

My TD4.2 runs and shuts down smoother on B40 than on dino. You must have some real lousy quality control on your bio there.

I'm gonna go with the fuel quality. Just came back from a long run up the West Coast. Last fuel stop was at a little out of the way fuel station. May have had water or something other than fuel in the diesel. Ran like a hairy goat ever since. Ran on after shut down, missfired and boost began to surge badly. :?
Got home, drained the rest of the tank, put in some fresh stuff and ran through a fuel treatment to clean out all the crap.
Back to normal now. ;)
