Post by Kingston_99 »

also my indicator would jus stay on with out blinkin a few times, only way to get it to turn off was to flick the indicator till it went out. anyone know wat i should be looking at?

stalk

sounds like your ind. stalk is giving up cos both your problems are linked back to the stalk. plug in a diffrent one to see if it is the problem. just an idea.

"Stalk" is the lever thing on the steering column that you use to turn the blinkers on.
This is not legal advice.

Try and pull the column apart and spray some contact cleaner on the connecting plates for the stalk. A lot of dust and grime gets in there.
Also I don't know what type of arrangement you have for your spot lights but you should check the signal wire connection for the spotlights. That’s going to be the one that should be connected to the high beam, working like an actuator.
However people connect them to parkers and low beam lights so that they can flash their spoties at any time. This is not legal. Not that anyone cares.
If all the connections are good, earth etc... Check the relay. Make sure that the in-line fuse ect... is secure.
