Guys we really need to get the numbers up for this.

I spoke to Warren and he said that at 7 people the price would have to go UP by $200 each.

If you know someone that is thinking about getting them, convince them.

If you are reading this and thinking about getting some gears, then get on board. They will not be this cheap again.

Still on 8, I'm afraid.

Revor has not gotten in touch with M.R. as yet.

I have just emailled him again so hopefuly I will hear back later today or tomorrow. I am seeing Warren tonight, so I'll tell him about the numbers being more like 8 or 9 and try to persuade him to keep the price as is.

I still only count 8 :?

GoldRover was not included in the list of 10 - I wish he were now, though, cause that would give us 9

I will ask Warren if that can change so we could be at 9 and just waiting on Keith.

We are at 9 including Revor.
Without revor we remain at 8.

goldrover was never included int he list since he went and did his own thing.

Great!!! Ring MR Automotive and pay them directly (mention the group buy). Contact details are 1 or 2 pages back.

SWEET

That brings us to 9.

Keith most likely will be passing on the deal, so 9 might have to be the magic number.

Ok will do. I dont actually own the vehicle these would go into. Its a 110 single cab ute.

How would I find out what type intermediate shaft I have? If Im not ready to pull it out just yet, can I get them to make up the gears on a replacement shaft? Do I need to get under and work out the serial number?

Help with these questions would be great...

MR Automotive need to modify the intermediate gear and need to know which dog teeth your low range gear has.

So ideally you need to send them your intermediate gear and low range gear.

Alternately, you can buy a new intermediate gear ~$500 and get that modified.

This has taken a while, and they probably won't do them all in one hit, so I am sure you will have plenty of time.

The approximate price I mentioned was a NEW intermediate GEAR. I am not sure how much a 2nd hand intermediate gear would be worth.

Angus When you ring MR ask to speak to Warren and explain your dilemma.

They are really great to deal with and i am shore they will be able to help you in anyway they can.
To go the 49%gears it is not just a matter of swapping over the gears as there is some clearancing to be done inside the case to accomodate the larger gear.
Again speak to MR and they will help. You may be able to supply a down deposit and get a whole complete done case then have it shipped and once you swap it in then send them your old one then get down deposit back???
Anyways they will help.

I spoke to Warren again today and if mcdisco pays his deposit this week, we will be at 10!

Apparently there is another guy from Japan that has contacted M.R. and is included in the group buy.

Warren is just waiting on confirmation of the last 2 deposits and then we are good to go...finally.

Fingers crossed that it all pans out.

We need EVERYONE that has paid a deposit to M.R. Automotive for the gears to contact them ASAP to confirm their deposit. Please have the details of when and how you made your deposit ready to confirm with Warren.

Also, can you please tell him your username on Outers so that I can cross-check with him about everyone that is involved.

Thank you.

GUys

I will pay as soon as I can, but I am waiting for the bank to sort out a loan. Its in their hands at the moment.

Will try to get it done asap. Still tossing up whether I got for 30% with 4.11's or just whack in 49% gears.

Hmm...

So what's it gonna be, guys?

Do we just go ahead with 8 sets and hope for the best, pricewise?

Show of names...who's ready to go and who wants to wait a bit longer? Add to the list.

There was someone else on AULRO interested.

I am in no rush, but happy to go ahead now if that is the group decision.
