X5 and Range Rover Aftercooler
Just a pic or 2 of a fully integrated charged air cooler for the 4.4 and 4.6 BMW V8 engine. Just the internals left to do.

So a 6-core???
6 cores 3 each side, Laminova rate their cores to 150hp each.
Aim as always to flat line intake temps just above ambient.

If the plastic plenum from the 03 4.6 fits a 3.5 then yes it should fit. This is a straight swap and matches the intake are well as the manifold.def90 wrote:if the plenum from a 4.6 can be put on a 3.5 block, is there any reason this can't either?
But I am not a Rangie owner so I can't say 100%

The only 4.6 I am aware of is the Rover one that ended with the 02 model. The 4.4 was the forduar engine or the bmw one, depending on the year..? Dunno, they are all too new to be in my radar:)defmec wrote:BMW V8 engine is different to a rover v8 isn't it
The BMW 4.4 is an M62 engine and there is a 4.6 litre variant but I don't think it made it into any rangies, just the X5.
This is not legal advice.
rover v8 4.6 was fitted to RR P38A until 2002 untill the L322 model we're released which have the 4.4 M62 BMW v8 up until jaguar ownership and then they put the jag 4.2 V8's in, which not long after the RR sport came.
This is what i am led to beleive by the few i have worked on so feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.
