What to do?!


Leave the clicky CV in there, it should be fine

Hello!! Im running lux diffs under my Zook, and the drivers side CV is clicking and carrying on. (It clicks when the locker is in, OR while turning on full lock). I have brought a new CV to replace it, thinking it was pretty much ready to let go at any stage. People have since told me that a CV can click all it likes, it just means that it is worn.. which doesn’t mean it will bust any time soon. So, should I replace the clicky one with the new CV, and carry the clicky one as a spare, or just leave the clicky one in there? Thanks :)

Use the clicky one as a spare. Broken birfs can make a mess of the inside of the knuckle.

I'd change it. It's not a hard job just a bit dirty an CV's are not that expensive. It sucks breaking a CV on the first obstacle of the day, even more so if you know it's worn and didn't change it.

Also when it brakes you may lose steering in one direction if all binds up making it a pain to get home or somewhere level to change it.
