im about to sell my grandfathers 1981 fj60 its been sitting unused for 6 years and was last driven 2 years ago when they moved house
ive just driven it from bendigo to melbourne after bleeding the brakes everythign worked ok
however its had a diesel conversion at some stage nfi what engine but im pretty sure its a 2h its been changed with vicroads and the engine number matches the rego

has some rust in the roof gutter thats pretty much all i can spot
no real mods some side steps and a bullbar plus a rear wheel carrier
so whats it worth ?

but if you go over to 4wdaction forum, they recon a decent (some fixable rust) 60 is worth more than an 80 series...RockyF75 wrote:I paid $4200 for a turboe'd diesel with similar K's, and a fair bit of fruit.
So 5k for a rusty stock 60 is probably dreaming.
If it has a bit of rego and is still driveable I'd say about 2500 is realistic, ask a bit more of course.
Spit my last breath

03 HDJ100R GXL / 94 FJ45-80
I paid $11K for one with front and rear air lockers, lift and body lift, full bar work, 2X long range tanks, rear drawers, cargo barrier and custom seats/consol and interior trims. Transfer gears and a 6.5 chev V8 in it. No rust and a shite load more fruit I haven't mentioned.
Without malice, by your description, you'd only get a couple grand at most.
