im about to sell my grandfathers 1981 fj60 its been sitting unused for 6 years and was last driven 2 years ago when they moved house
ive just driven it from bendigo to melbourne after bleeding the brakes everythign worked ok

however its had a diesel conversion at some stage nfi what engine but im pretty sure its a 2h its been changed with vicroads and the engine number matches the rego

has 318thousand on the clock nfi whats on the diesel engine tho

has some rust in the roof gutter thats pretty much all i can spot

no real mods some side steps and a bullbar plus a rear wheel carrier

so whats it worth ?

Ask $5000 see what happens although don't be surprised if there are about 20 posts after this one saying it's pos old 60 and worth $1000

I paid $4200 for a turboe'd diesel with similar K's, and a fair bit of fruit.

So 5k for a rusty stock 60 is probably dreaming.

If it has a bit of rego and is still driveable I'd say about 2500 is realistic, ask a bit more of course.

I paid $11K for one with front and rear air lockers, lift and body lift, full bar work, 2X long range tanks, rear drawers, cargo barrier and custom seats/consol and interior trims. Transfer gears and a 6.5 chev V8 in it. No rust and a shite load more fruit I haven't mentioned.

Without malice, by your description, you'd only get a couple grand at most.

7 grand for an fj,cripes,u could by a few and make a hefty profit,i paid 6 grand for mine ,9 years ago,with reg and a roady,on gas,no real accessories,probably spent another 7 grand keepin the bugger on the road,lol,rust repairs to gutters,clutche,ect ect,i guess it all depends on condition,accessories ect ect,i bought an old hj60 last year for 2 grand,276ooo kms,with a few months reg left

put the old shitter on ebay start at 1500.

If i was to sell mine id want 6grand cash, 2h turbo, twin air lockers, 4" lift etc etc!
