80 series brake problem :(

Post by mroffroader »

Hey Guys

Got a problem with my 80 series 1992 1HD-T (bigger late model brakes) when I put my foot on the brake pedal it does not return  it just stays there and you either have to give it a tap with your foot to make it return or put your foot under it and pull it back up (It doesn't do it all the time but enough to annoy). Does anyone know what the problem may be? I have lifted it 4" about 2 months ago but don't think that will have anything to do with it unless maybe the proportional valve? Its had a new master cylinder about a year ago and rebuilt calipers at about the same time.

Want to sort it before I put the 35's on
Cheers

Maybe check the return spring on the pedal.

The only other thing that would cause it is vacum. Unless it pulling a lot of vacum and still holding the pedal down. Sure sure how that would happen though. You could try another vacum body. I would still check the return spring first though.
