my fuel gauge is inacurate?? sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt, when i fill it up the gauge immediatly reads empty or juz doesnt work - but once the fuel tank drops to about halfway the gauge begins to read until empty??

whats going on? :?:

A bit like mine.

Full tank on gauge is at very bottom under bottom mark and full tank is about 2/3 on gauge and then goes upwards from full :)

yeh mine does the same, is it a common problem with suzuki's . is it a easy fix?

Pulled my tank out as it was cracked so I had it welded up at work. I also had a look at the sender, tradie said it could be a bad contact on the fine wire inside the sender. Undid the 3 metal tabs n took the cover off, thats when I saw that the tab thing inside wasnt making contact on the wires all the way, it was only making contact half way to the end - thus used a small washer to space out the rod as its spring loaded which forced it down gently. Now it makes contact top to bottom n checked it worked with a multimeter set at 200 ohms. All fixed =D
