gu 4.5 more power wanted any suggestions

how do i get more power out of this peice of shit without bolting a turbo to it. i dont want to spend heaps as i will either turbo or v8 it latter down the track still trying to make up mind . its a 5spd on gas and fuel also only running 265 tyres but will be going to 285 or 305 when these wear down
whatever suggestion u have can u give me an indication of roughly how much more it will have
i need more power
exhaust, extractors , computer ect ect

hay mate i have a tb45e only on pettey in my comp truck non turbo the best thing i did was put after market injection on mine i whent for a micro tec systerm about 1200 to do the job i did all the wireing my self i a set of pipes on it and put a cam in it the cam is not to crazy from standard only about one or two thou on the lobes did not want to loose that luggly big block feal i also played with the timing and go it more respoive it is good now injectors have been replaced with bigger units and up the fuel pressure with and adjustable unit about $100 on e bay althougt i am gearing up for turbo mine goes good

what cam did u use ,do u have the grind of the cam, also where did u get injection system from and what size injectors have u used and where did u get them from cheers

In regards to the ECU have you looked to see if you can get a Nistune board for it?
