HI EVERYONE, ANYONE KNOW OF ANYONE THAT DOES ENGINE CONVERSIONS AS I HAVE AN 08 GU UTE THAT I WOULDNT MIND SEEING IF I CAN GET A 4.2TD FITTED TO AS I MAINLY WANT TO DO OFF ROAD WORK WITH IT & AS GOOD AS THE COMMONRAIL IS IT LACKS THE LOW DOWN TORQUE REQUIRED FOR CREEPING ROUND AT IDLE WITHOUT STALLING. SOMEONE CLOSE TO BRISSY WOULD BE GOOD. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.

proberly will not get it approoved because of emmisions legislation, thats why they stopped production of the td42 in the patrol.

Sell it and buy a GU with a 4.2.

I would try diff and or reduction gears before i looked at a conversion etc

you won't get it passed emision laws, only way you'll win this battle is to swap an engine from the same emision laws as yours... that dnt leave you much.... except maybe the 6L out of a VE good luck with that as they are expensive...
