Yes, I've searched and read each of the tyre review threads on these tyres, and narrowed it down to these few, I know some of them don't really compare when it comes to price.
I can't make up my mind, so I'm going to ask the audience
Going to be used probably 70% onroad and 30% offroad, but if your here to tell me to get a A/T or H/T get stuffed cause I can't afford a second set for weekend play at the moment and I hate not having muddies offroad
They will be in a 31" x15, Goin on a 60 series.
The amount of k's I can get out of them is important to me, more so than things like road noise, or handling in the wet. Having had a diesel for 5 years I've gotten quite used to driving slower than everyone else

But I suppose I should have included them, as the main reason I don't like them is for the mixed reports. Some say they've gotten heaps of K's outta them, others have been very dissapointed. Although the same's been said about MTZ's, I still have them in my list.

The only ones i've used are the bfgs. Can't tell you how much you get out of them though. I can tell you they handle good in the wet though So I'm not much good aye!
I was leaning toward the KM2's, but even gettin them at cost price they are right at the high end of my budget... doesn't rule them out, just means if there's something cheaper that does similar I will consider them too.
I have the old style BFG's about 5 years and 45,000ks on them, they have about 5,000ks left in them. Not KM2's but can't speak highly enough of BFG's dd and weekend stuff on a dd poorly aligned 60

Ive had my Nankangs for over 40 000 on a patrol and now on my HiLux and love them. Great off road and not bad on road. They actually have a fair bit of life left on them and have copped an absolute flogging. At $170 each for a 33" you cant complain really. I actually think they perform better than MTZ's on rocks and IMHO BFG's dont grip well at all. The only let down is in muddy ruts as they have no side lugs so dont climb out well. Just my opinion as all of my mates run muddies of different brands and these go everywhere the oother brands do.
With most muddie style tyres - as you up the size you'll also up the void space (gap between tread)... perhaps looking at slightly larger tyres will give a better mud grip??
I voted cooper STT - as my last set were brilliant - however in sticky clay they clogged up and needed about 20km/hr to self-clean.
I'm now running simex ETs and theyre just unreal - they grip great on and offroad. cant corner as fast as the stt's on road though cos the treads so flexy.
yeah i dont understand why you want 31s on a 60, my 60 went no where with 31s on it, my 75 with 33 bighorns has barely been stoped, a few time but not as much as the 60.
i payed 1600 for 5 bighorns on rims shipped to melbourne from fourbys in queensland.
if no onw has suggested ringing them, i would if i were you.
BFG muddies, they won the 4WD noaction mud tire comparo even though several other tires got 10/10 for dirt, sand and mud and the BFGs rated a maximum 8 in these three critical mud tire capability categories
But seriously with my distaste for soft cawk sponsored comparos aside,
I do think the BFGs would make a good allrounder given your stated requirements and probably the MT MTZs will do fine as well.
Dunlop Grantrek MT2's, probably not that well known but i have been running a set in 265/75/16's that i got off a mate. He got them 2nd hand and did 30k on them, i then did 40k on them and i can barely tell of any wear on them - pretty cheap too.

nankang muddies have been amazingly good on my GU. Price wise tey couldn't be beaten and so far they are wearing very well, they handle well, balanced well, perform well on and off road. I'd get them again when they wear out

Simex Centipede M/T's lasted about 50000km on a Kia Sportage (1700kg) Bit noisy on road, but not too hairy in the wet like most muds. About $180-$210 these days.
Now marketed/owned by Sime tyres.
Not on your list but worth a look.

X2 On a Sierra. 33x12.5s. They are undersize though. (32") Will buy them again but in 35's next. Cheap to replace for accidents blow outs etc.. Never had a puncture.
ive got buckshots, im happy with them off road, whilstt they are not the most aggresive tyres, they have got me everywhere ive wanted to go and seem to work well across the board from mud to rock.
in mud they dont clear as well as id like and have no side lugs but they do their job well and after all are not a super agressive tread.
no comment on wear as mine dont do many k's.
ive been suprised by their on road manners especially in the wet.
Id buy them again.
side step - to those who have got nankangs what are they like on hard top? looking at a new set of at's for my road tyres $145 each.
