A mate had a volvo car one in, hooked to a 60 series steering column.

the ptoblem is that i think you either need to moce the front crossmember forward 4 inches to fit the box (doesent matter which box) or you need to notch in or something!

Anyway good luck and post up if you ever have happen to do it!

the power steer unit from the 2.4l skyline thinks it pre 85 fits perfectly with minimal mods and they are reasonable cheap had it in my series for two years before it was sold with no probs.

I have the box from an 80 series Land Cruiser on my IIA, it fits very nicely on the outside of the framerail. The nose section of the box tucks in just behind the breakfast panel- no crossmember mods necessary.

Ran a Volvo box on my Hybrid 90. Good til 35's went on it. Reverted it to Rangie box.

Better option or a 60 Series Box can be used.

You need the steering coloum and the power steer box (all in one ) and the ball joint that goes with the box . The power steer box goes up on a brake support bracket (i had one or mod your own ) on the fire wall. you will need to fab up a new steering arm from the p/bow to the front cross member i had the Vn engine with a power steer pump on it so it was plumb up to that . I only had 31 on but it was a reasonable light steer. i got no pic cause i sold her in 96 and got the disco. go to a wrecker and have a look at the unit in the car it is not a hrad job to fit and it cheap.
