I've been known to use an allen key to lever them out with. Treat it with some marlin inner seals when you rebuild.. http://locktup4x4.com.au/hilux-solid-fr ... r-274.html

I have a great tool for installing the new seals again without damage to the seal itself. $25 for one, fully stainless steel.

the seals are easy to do.
to get it out cave the seal in from the inner part of the opening with a screw driver and hammer. just work your way around it. once it's caved in enough it will pry out easy with a screwdriver.

to put a new one in just use a socket the same size as the seal, with an extention bar, and tap it in with a hammer, making sure it goes in evenly.

If you have a bit of trouble getting the seal in evenly you can tap it in in a 12 oclock, 3, 6, 9 oclock rotation using a socket extension, or anything that is blunt (drift, you might have needed one for the cone washers?)
