I did some research into 4g63t's a little while ago, I didn't get the impression they were very light so I'm not sure how the cast block would go in a little zook weight wise. So other guys more up on the effect of heavy engines in sierra's may have some input here.

I'd always ask myself 2 simple questions though:
- Why do I NEED to do this conversion?
- Is the power output and power curve suited to this vehicles intended application?

I've been wondering about a 4d56t conversion on a vit and how that would go. the intercooled CRDi version is ~100kw @ 4000rpm and ~300Nm at 2000rpm. Being a paj motor its already set up for longitudinal use with plenty of gearbox/transmission options I reakon it would be a better use over a 4-pot 9000rpm screamer. Just a thought

ive got all the mounts n jacksharft at home 2 put a series 4/5 turbo rotory in a short or long wheelbase sierra. u dont move the transfer n only a 2inch bodylift its fun a little scary at first n awesome ofroad but not leagel. i got pulled over about 10 times. booked speeding twice n alot of eleagle street racing on the south side n for 2 n a half years n cops never even relized. if u have a maruti it has a differant catagory code n u can do more with it. they were going 2 pass the 13bt in mine if the coudent see the turbo
I'm in the process of a turbo swift GT motor install. It's probably the easiest install of the bunch since the GT motor is a direct bolt in swap for the most part. then you just have to deal with a turbo mani.
What did you guys do about a turbo manifold?? That's where I'm stuck. my options seems to be custom only. I've read some things else where that the RWD toyota ae86 aftermarket turbo mani's have the bolt holes close to where you need them on the GT, and that it places the turbo in a usable location.
You guys on the other side of the pond have it a bit easier because your steering equipment is on the right side of the car. we in the US have to fit the turbo, exhaust set-up and run our intake piping all around the steering

What maths are you talking about. i rang qld transport before i did the conversion and they said it was fine, all they wanted to know was the weight of the 4 Runner.
the laws changed as of the beginning of september 2009 in qld only i did go and have a look on the goverment website myself all mod plates done prior to the 1st of sept 09 will stand, but as for me i can put a v6 in but no friggin turbo which sux, however i may have stumbled accross a model that never came to australia with a turbo, ill keep you all posted

try redline gti, they sell a few different sorts of turbo manifolds.

I have looked on that site even searched the forum, never did I see a GT turbo manifold set-up for RWD. The only one that ive found in RWD is from a company called Turbinetech.ca in canada, but he wants like $700 US. That's more then I paid for the motor itself!!!

No offence mate but what you have described is the most inefficient method of which to make a turbo manifold. Commonly refered to as a "log design". Tuned length runner design is optimal, otherwise unequal length runner design is the next best. Log manifolds are at the bottom.
To those wanting to find out more about manifold design, there is a whole chapter on it in a book called 'MAXIMUM BOOST' Written By Author Corky Bell. It has been around for a while but is still recent enough to cover things like variable vaine impellers etc.
Here is one I made a year ago. G16 16v. It was very close to equal length runners. Made from 32NB weld in mandrels, purge TIG welded. Note the (unfinished in the pic) spike at the intersection to reduce turbulance into the turbo.
