You were talking about this before the 1st stage started!!!
Why not then ask the organizers about it then and get a true response
Did you really build a truck for this event or just entered what you allready had?
Next season why not bring your bigger tires and see what you got . Cop the penalty as we did.
Shorly you should do better then us since you have a 7 inch lift and a GQ.
Our poor little county has 2 inch lift and shit landie diffs

And yes we were penalized for running the 38S. RED24 because you didnt hear about this does that mean it didnt happen??
End of the day guys as Shane said we are not competing for sheep stations. We would have been happy if Brendon said to us "guys im not going to count you in the overall tally cause you are on 38S." We were there to support the park and to have some fun Which we did.
We were though very lucky and appreciative to Shane and Suspension stuff for a great prize.
And we will continue to do so at allmost every event we can get to next year. I am shore Harley has no intention to buy smaller tires again either.
Only issue we will have next year though is there will be more of our crue with more ROVERS.

Brendon and Shane. Great comp and we did exactly what we came to do "have fun"
The dinner saterday night was an awsome idea and I am shore all who attended think the same.
The young fella in our class who had the duel cab hilux. Hope to see you guys compete next year. It was great to see you guys pick up on some stuff and finish stages. With your cv axel combo you could run 37s (with some guard cutting as so to keep it low) Send me a pm and come out wheeling one night with us.

My suggestions for next year.
Mod extreme class Run any lift as long as its a coil shock or leaf shock combo. Tires up to 39s (can GQs handle them :finger: ) Any motor auto /gearbox transfer case combo. As much Tube as the rig can carry. Duel lockers allowed.
Any body chops allowed as long as its not to death like a truggy.

Class under 4 inch lift 35s or even 2 inch lift. no motor gearbox transfer case swaps. Wagons cut to utes ok. 1 locking aid allowed.

then stock class.

What do others think about these ideas for and against?
Good time to talk about them since shane has allready stated that they will review for next year.
Good to hear that you will be onboard for next year Shane ;)

your idea for extreme mod sounds kinda like a class that they call outlaw
there are cars that have competed in OUTLAW on 37's and won

38's in mod class?
y not 35's in standard?

you are 100% correct in one thing!!!
it is suppose to be fun but if your competing against 38's when you have supported the park for more then just 1 event and you have access to bigger tyres but the guidlines state you can not use them then that is not fun at all !!!!!!!

No not stuped just not trying to justify anything with a huge lift :finger:

And just to clarify i have done almost all the work on the Rig and yes it is a 2 inch lift No need for bigger Its not a Patrol.
Then if you beleive there was no penalty then why were we told we were penalized for our tires???
Mate you were beat by a Rover with 35 mm more of diff clearance due to tire size (38 compared to 35s in a maxxis tire. Mickeys are allways smaller then labeled) and you really need to deal with that

As i said bring your bigger tires or even your bigger truck next year. :?:

Oh yeah and before then put yourself on a staple diet of concrete so you can harden the fuck up.

lets keep it real simple for those who dont get the picture

i did not compete
i am just saying that it was not good enough
if i were to compete in modified i was told that my front locker would not be allowed to be in use as i have 35's and they are DEEMED a traction aid
which is a good rule

so in short you should have been told the same thing!!!

were you told this???

as for eating concrete

i have 2 cups a day just to deal with the handbrake
so stop triping

First thing to say is great time had, came away with a few less bits and a few more dints in the old 80 but had lots of fun. thanks to all involved and all who competed, also tho those who cheered us along.

With the classes i think that they are well set up as they are, just need to be inforced. and the traction aid clarified, dose a lsd class as a traction aid??? i think that it should or it be chamged to read one locking aid. in mod class in what i run 1 locker up to 3" lift and up to 33" tyres i think works well. i think on saturday our class has all competors within this and it worked out a very close class, would be happy with this next round.

i do my best to impress
i probably could run 35s or my 37s and go in the extreme mods class. im more in it for the fun and challange. ill stay in outlaw

lift tyres lockers... who really gives a fuck.
if i had it my way there would be NO PRIZES and just go out for fun(AND BRAGGING RIGHTS)
Do a very basic class structure and just drive.

stock means stock.
mod class- up to say 33s one locker
extreme mod- 35/37 double lock
outlaw- 35-44 lock bars cuts whateva..

pretty much how it was at the begining.

yes there is and can be exceptions for the above within reason.

a nervous driver can drive in stock/ mod class with penalties

PS its pretty rude to post about another comp in brendans thread

Milo it was funny but you got right back on the horse bud. As the weekend got on you were doing the same on the throttle  Get your exo sorted as to protect some of it cause it is a really good looking truck. Very diffrent indeed.
Hope you get to next round mate.

you are obviously stupid if you think that the rover had a 2 inch lift, do you have no perception of lengh, buy the way there was no penitaly for bigger tyres, dosn't bother me i got 2nd only missed out buy 24points, and i was on road tyres thought the rover would have done better but at the end of the day its just a rover
Whoa. calm down there fella. No need for name calling. I really thought i would have come closer to the top given what i drove but at the end of the day i managed to drive home and not tow it. Isn't that enough for you also?
thats a big call coming from the guy swearing at the tree
Hey mate, y dont u just leave it alone, he damaged his pride and joy he was pissed, if u cared about ur car and did the same u might do it to, but now its passed and he is ok, so maybe u should just get off everyones case
just saying mate there is a time and place for that kind of behaviour, me and keith were behind you when it happened, fare enough show some fustration, but there was no need for that lanuage around young kids.

i am just saying that it was not good enough
if i were to compete in modified i was told that my front locker would not be allowed to be in use as i have 35's and they are DEEMED a traction aid
which is a good rule

are you saying you did not compete because you didnt think you had an advantage to win???
i am saying that i did work to my truck so i could go into a higher class as i am getting more confident with it but as shane could not get the 34inch shocks i did not compete and i thought that staying in standard was not so fair.

so your confident driver theory is half decent

next time if got something to cry about be straight up its sooooooo
much easier

Another top weekend Brendan .Beau and i had a great time and thanks to all compeditors and officials for your time and efforts.Great to see some mates and have a catch up .Congrats Mike and Keith top job. I cant understand everybody winging about tyre sizes because at the end of the day it's how well the navi performs and the thinking on the drivers part these comps are just going to get harder and some of you realy need to harden up because next year will be tougher again by the sounds of it.

You could have the most capable car out there BUT if you can't drive it is of no use to you Just a thaught :)

I agree with 11_evil on the classes mainly for the ext mod class. I spoke to Brendan about the fact i would like to compete in that class but run 36's but don't want to push my truck in outlaw(daily driver). He was ok with that i just couldn't make this round.36" & 37" are pretty common these days on the bigger trucks just something to look at but at the end of the day well done Brendan for putting on the comps and i will be at most to watch if i can't compete.Your comp your rules
4INCH EFS LIFT
SUPRERIOR ARMS
TWIN LOCKERS
11000LB tigerz11 WINCH
36 swampers OFF ROAD
3inch S/S/S exhaust
