Hi all, i have a mk sd33t which has been having problems starting, ( as in will not start at all).. first off..
1... the glow plug relay is not pulling in.
... tested relay... is in good working order however is not getting voltage to pull in.
have replaced glow timer and is still not working. and have tested thermo senser and is reading 2.4 k ohms so is within normal resistance.
everything is working normal but is not getting the voltage to switch in glow relay.
and just to top it off. if the car sits for a day it will randomly power the relay on start up and start fine. but once turned off the relay will not get the voltage again.
if anyone has some info or advice i would much appreciate as its starting to shit me!!
cheers, ben

baring that....
Hard wire it
run a power wire from the battery to a momentary switch ( one that has to be physically held ON to powerup), from the switch run it to your glowplug bar connection.
Press the switch to glow it but only for a MAX of 15secs at a time.
