Hello, I freshly came here and looking for opinion about this tyres to my Vit. Thats my sweetie:

And I want to put 79cm tyre ~31,1"
Just wondering if it will fit, picture doesn't mention that (its old) but I cutted out ~2"of fenders.

2" spring lift and 2" guard chop should fit them under - but wont they scrub on steering lock and compression?

I just wonder how hard it will, i heard about screw which can regulate angle. This will decrease turning ability but removes rubbing.

I've pretty much just done exactly what you wanna do. LWB vitara, cut guards like you did, roughly 50mm bumpstop extensions on the rear, 30mm spacer on the rear spring and 15mm spacer on the front springs (not that they are actually necessary but I wanted a little lift for the time being), and everything clears. I haven't limited the steering, and the tyres JUST scrub at full lock on the chassis at the firewall end. Apart from that I just hit the firewall with a mallet and sledge

The tires are 32x12.5x15 (measure closer to a 31") on 15x8 rims not sure on the offset. If you have the aluminium front diff, it won't last long... 10 mins of mild offroading for me, then when I put in the metal diff with a welded centre a front CV let go in 3mins

I'm gonna look into putting toyota CV's now.

What about backspacing at your wheels? I've got basic vitara's with afaik +20mm.

After throwing spanners around with the vitara again today... I'm looking for another LWB sierra

yoger, I'll have a measure of the backspacing on the rims for you tomorrow if I have a chance, I'm guessing they are around the -20mm

I just figured out that your tyre is ~30cm wide, when my will be 23,5. Maybe this difference will work instead of changing rims for bckspacing.

if you use +10 rims the fit heaps better. also to get them off the fire wall u can drill the rear hole on the a arm out about a inch

standard vitara is 215/65r16 isnt it?

either way - the smallest centipedes are 29x7.5r15/16 (195/90r15/16), and these would seem to fit that sizing visually - but the OP says 31s...

Its says 235/85/16 so ~32 but real size is just a lil over 31", 79cm exactly. And quite heavy 23kg each.

Yest standard is 215/65/16 on pict, 27" approx
