All over the shop !!!

1. My feroza has a very loose front end, like steering a dodgey rowboat?
I am not mechanicaLLY minded to start, the front right has movement when moved towards me, held at 10 and 2.... could it be bearings?

2. ALso, i need bigger tyres and rims as i have 235/75/15's and there is still room to move, ie, the guards arent full, what is the next tyre size possible with only a 2" bodylift please?

3. Temp guage doesnt work ? any ideas?

4. Somewhere on the sunshine coast QLD worthy of gettiing work done ?
I want suspension done ( 2" lift)
wheels 15" dynamics with a/t or muddies
snorkel
extractors /exhaust
front bar

I waffle on a bit so if you can help me out on any of this i would be grateful, also, if you make custom snorkels or bars let me know i will pay good $$$ for good gear
thanks
Chris

Steering: Most likely your idler arm is shot. You could try getting a new poly bush for it, otherwise replace it altogether = more expensive.

Tyres & rims: I'd tend to go muddies... prolly a 275/75 15 or a 30 X 9.5

Temp gauge, check the wire is connected to the sender/check the sender.

AJ's on the money.

As for lift.... to save yet another thread on this try the search facility - you'll find lots of valuable information on the pro's and con's.

Summary - its easy to do badly ( cheap ) and hard to do well ( expensive ).
( usual disclaimers )

It seemed like a much better idea when I started it than it does now.

Had a look at it today, there is a bar which i assume is the torsion bar, (has a section about 5 inches long where it looks like you can adjust it )
Well where this connects to what i think is the idler arm it is loose as a bit on the right and heaps on the left so i assume i need to replace the bushes etc ?
See, i honeslty have no idea lol need pics to show you

I think your describing the tie rods...

Can i suggest you download the Feroza manual from www.warfs.org , or at least the bits you need ( get the lot if bandwidth isn't an issue )

In the long run it will be very useful even if you know very little at the moment, you"ll pick stuff up as you go along. We all did it this way....

That way we'll at least be calling things the same - at the moment its a bit hard to start describing test procedures when we both aren't working with the same "words" ;)

The American-release "1992 Rocky" manuals are a higher quality scan of the Feroza ones (same manual, better quality)
