i took my disco out for the first time (hilux is off the road ) and after a bit (maybe alot) of mud and water the car stalled and wouldnt start for about half an hour. im guessing its due to the electricals. Is there any way or any thing i can upgrade to prevent this??

I take it you drowned the dizzy which is common with the rover V8, various things you can do -muzza85 wrote:i took my disco out for the first time (hilux is off the road ) and after a bit (maybe alot) of mud and water the car stalled and wouldnt start for about half an hour. im guessing its due to the electricals. 1) seal the cap
2) spray with WD40 prior to drowning
3) make a shield to stop water spray from the fan swamping the dizzy
4) use a small airhorn sized compressor to pressurise the dizzy to prevent water ingress.
5) Drive into puddles slowly then power out
Saddle up tonto, its the not so loanrangie! . 98 TDI DISCO lightly modded with more to come.
Or lose the dizzy altogether......
Megajolt!
