I have a warn xd9000 winch that the motor has died on. I first thought it was the solenoids, replaced those, still no luck, had it tested and the motor seems to be gone.
So my dillema is the following what do I do to replace the motor.
My options are;
1) Replace the motor with an aftermarket no name brand one for $200
2) Replace it with a genuine warn one at $500
3) Sell it and buy a new tigerz11 winch for $650
Any suggestions or opinions are welcomed.
Cheers

Motor 'Gone'?
What was tested? What happens, solonoids clicking but motor no worky?
I bet the brushes have siezed due to corrosion and no longer contacting the commutator, or the bushes are that worn there's nothing left.
Pull the end cap off and have a look, or take it to a Warn repairer/service place. $200 at most, way better than replacing with an import.
Or replace the motor with a 6hp.
