lokka adjustment

Post by damo lux »

I'm in the process of fitting a front lokka to my ln106 hilux.

My question is how do you adjust the clearances, the clearance for the cross shaft is 1/2 a thou out on the bottom end of the tolerance scale.
The inter cam clearance is 10 thou out on the bottom end as well.

The instructions are quite vague and not helpful, they just show where to measure and what the tolerances are.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers

There should have been shims in between the back of the spider gears and the carrier, i think these are what you use to adjust your clearance. I fitted mine in with it too loose thinking "ahh she will be right" better loose than tight aye?? wrong. Back lash is terrible now haha but i live with it. So try and be within specs. Might have to get slightly thicker shims or try to add/remove the shims to see if it helps.

cheers john.
