the bj40 wiring manual is there.

if you swapped out an old 3b for a 2h then the motors and wiring is very similar

What do you mean "control gear"

Apart from normal electrics there is that sometimes expensive and sometimes dodgy controler from memory above the starter moter. It controles start fuel and shutdown

the 2h runs a thing called the edic, i am not sure about it, but i know it has something to do with shutdown, so it could be what the other fella suggested,

just pick up what ever car you got it outs work shop manual, i have never seen a owners manual with wiring diagrams, unless that is what the bloke ment.

you can run a 2h without the edic the only power the engine needs is for the starter motor

ive got a fj60 in my yard that had a 2h dropped into it dodgily theres a choke cable that you pull on to start it and push it in all the way to stop

however dont do it its stupidly dodgy

You will need the glow plugs working for cold starts at least, but the motor will run without any electricity. If you look on the injection pump there is a small lever with three positions. over fuel, drive and stop. It's spring loaded in the drive position so you only need to bleed the fuel system, and crank the starter to make it go.

the edic wasn't available on all 2h's. some very early 2h's had a cable stop, but overfueling on start was controlled by a magnetic switch of sorts.
