hey guys just chasing feedback on TSL super swampers. What are they like? Did you like the tyre? Looking at a set of 36/11.5/16 any feedbak would be greatly appeticted. Thanks

I voted yes, like em, I like em alot.
I only used them for 1 weekend but they worked great, the size is 33x12.5x15, and the tyres arent new, but about 80%.
I borrowed them off an extrememly nice person and Im supposed to give them back next week.
They worked great in mud, rocky climbs, loose rocks, dusty tracks, water crossings, and even in sand they were great.
I ran them at 16psi and they felt great everywhere, I want to keep them now.
Shit yeah, Id buy them.

I've run swampers since the early 90's and I still haven't seen a tyre work as well in as many conditions as a swamper.
Swampers themselves don't handle badly at all. They are a crossply tyre, so they wander on road - they're more sensitive to camber and braking force than a radial tyre. Obviously, they have a very high void ratio for a road tyre too, so that has an effect on their road performance. These things will amplify any poor handling traits of your vehicle.
I've run Q78's and 36" SX's on my Gwagen, 32X9's on my hilux and 34X9's and Q78's on my sierra.
My Dad used to run 34X9's on his 80 series and they were fine on road. Cornering speeds were lower than with more road oriented tyres, but so what? It's a 4WD.

I heard about your dramas ronoor.
A) Get all the air out of them. Fresh LTB's seem to want to be at 5psi or even less to work properly. Once they are well broken in they might run with more pressure.
My Q78's lived on a heavy car so now I have them on my sierra they bag well at 5-6 psi and it might take 1/2 that pressure to bag a fresh set the same amount.
B) 34 10,5 LTB's don't have the ideal footprint shape for slick surfaces. They're too wide. I have no trouble outperforming fresh 34 10.5's on slick surfaces with my totally flogged 9 34's because I put down more ground pressure and have a narrower footprint. In deeper mud or dryer conditions I get owned by LTB's.
Simex's/mongrels own slick surfaces, especially in small sizes on light cars where they put down high ground pressure. I've never seen a sierra hook up as well on slick clay than a car on 31" 'pedes, but there's no way you can maintain thet ground pressure in a taller tyre - the void ratio would drop too far and the tyres would be too unstable.
Maybe you need 35 10.5 Boggers?

they'll be on an 80 series. 5inch efs, locked both ends.
there on 8inch rim, there flipped rim but i don't think it changes much.
bit of a play tyre mud which i beleive they'll be good. but also as a rock crawl hill. which whats scares me. i've been told because there stright lugs that they tend to slide sideways very easily.

radials are newer tech than bias ply, but most hardcore tires are bias, not radial...
